[CLINTON, N.C.]– Sampson Community College (SCC), in partnership with the Sampson Arts Council and the SCC Foundation, invites the community to participate in selecting the third public art sculpture to be displayed at Sampson East Park. This annual initiative aims to enrich the campus and community environment through rotating public art installations.
This year’s finalists include two compelling works by internationally acclaimed sculptor and East Carolina University professor Hanna Jubran, “Solar System” and “3 Planets,” alongside the option to retain the current installation, “Blue Butterfly,” by Benton & Sons Stainless Steel Fabrication.

The selected piece will be installed in August 2025, continuing the tradition of showcasing dynamic public art in a highly visible location off Highway 24.
Community members are encouraged to cast their vote by visiting:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6HBJHH8. Voting is open until May 20, 2025.
