Homegrown: Turner Goes from Student to Teacher
Born and raised in Clinton, NC, John Turner recently graduated from Sampson Community College in April of 2021 and secured a full-time job with the SCC Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department in May. Turner has been working as a Level I EMS instructor for the Workforce Development & Continuing Education division of SCC for approximately two months.

Angela Warner has worked at Sampson Community College for 32 years and currently serves as the Planning and Research Coordinator. However, before her time as an employee, she attended SCC as a student.
Homegrown: Blankenship’s Journey from Student to Employee
Michael Blankenship is currently the Computer Systems Technician at Sampson Community College. He received his associate degree in Computer and Information Technology from SCC’s Information Technology Program in 2017 and has thoroughly enjoyed being able to give back to the school as an employee.

Krista Lewis is currently the Advancement Specialist for the Advancement Office here at Sampson Community College (SCC). Lewis started out at SCC as a student before she was an employee. She was born and raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 2014. Lewis knew that after high school that she wanted to attend SCC. In 2016, Lewis graduated from SCC with degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. Lewis has experienced SCC from the view of student and employee.
