Fall Registration Underway at SCC

CLINTON, N.C. – Registration for the fall 2020 semester at Sampson Community College remains open. Though the College will host late registration dates in August, it encourages students to register for classes online at https://www.sampsoncc.edu/registration through July 30 instead. Payment for the semester is due by 11 AM on July 31.

Student Services at SCC has gone out of its way to ensure that students have every available resource accessible to complete registration from home, including virtual advising, an updated booklist, and online payment via WebAdvisor. Additionally, students who register online will have the initial choice of course offerings.

The College anticipates offering a mix of face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses this fall. Any students with preferences towards specific types of courses should register sooner rather than later.

“By registering now, students have the advantage of securing a seat in classes that may not be available in August. This also allows extra time for any other admissions or financial aid concerns to be addressed,” says Amelia Elmore, Director of Admissions.

Throughout the month of July, students can set up brief phone appointments with advisors, where collectively, students and advisors will plan schedules and discuss career goals. From there, the students can simply add their approved courses in WebAdvisor and secure a seat in their desired courses for the fall semester.

“To adapt to the current environment, SCC has launched virtual admissions and advising opportunities for students interested in enrolling for Fall semester,” shared Blair Hairr, Dean of Student Services. “New and returning students can schedule an appointment online and receive a call from an academic advisor or student services staff member at the time of their choice!”

To schedule an online appointment, students can email advising@sampsoncc.edu, and provide their first and last name, SCC ID, and preferred appointment date and time. Students can also visit, https://bit.ly/bookingscc, to create an appointment time. Meeting times begin early in the morning and continue into the evenings. Non-degree seeking students (Continuing Education) can set up advising appointments at https://bit.ly/cebookingscc.

Online registration for the 2020 fall semester functions much as it did for the summer semester. Students meet with an advisor virtually, register for classes via WebAdvisor, and pay via WedAdvisor as well. Students will also be able to view their booklist after registering.

For more information about registration and courses, visit https://www.sampsoncc.edu/courses/. Email advising@sampsoncc.edu to schedule an advising appointment, or visit https://bit.ly/bookingscc. Students who fail to register by July 30 can register during late registration on August 11-13.
