In March, Sampson Community College announced plans to postpone graduation, with further details coming soon. Due to the ongoing nature of COVID-19, the College has chosen to create a virtual graduation experience to celebrate the Class of 2020. The virtual release of SCC’s Class of 2020 will take place Thursday, May 7 on the college’s website and social media platforms. The publication will showcase each graduate and feature other celebratory moments from featured students.
Date: Thursday, May 7, 2020
Important Details for 2020 Graduates
- Mark your calendars: Thursday, May 7, 2020
- Submit graduation picture: (Optional) Have someone snap your photo (you can use your phone) and submit your photo by completing the Graduation Celebration Form. We will feature graduate photos as part of our virtual celebration! Submissions must be received by Tuesday, April 28.
- Celebrate your achievement: Invite and share the virtual publication of the SCC Class of 2020 with family and friends.
This unique experience is planned to provide each graduate with the recognition they rightfully deserve. Students who desire an in-person graduation ceremony are invited to participate in the 2021 graduation ceremony, planned for May 13, 2021, and be recognized as a 2020 graduate. The Registrar’s Office will communicate additional details with 2020 graduates closer to time.
Once spring and/or summer grades are verified, the Registrar’s Office will mail an official transcript and diploma to each graduate at no cost to students. The College appreciates students’ patience and understanding as it celebrates this tremendous achievement during this challenging time. Students with graduation questions should email email@example.com.
